EcomHub Utility
Privacy Policy
Last updated: 14 July 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how Lund Marketing ("we", "us") processes information when merchants install and use the EcomHub Utility Shopify app ("App"). The merchant is typically the data controller for their store's customer data. We act as a data processor when handling store data on the merchant's instructions.
1. Information we process
- Shop and app configuration: shop domain, app settings, checkout customization preferences.
- Order-related data: aggregated order metrics (for example order counts, revenue totals, payment gateway names, and shipping method names) used to power split testing and checkout tools. We do not require or store customer names, email addresses, phone numbers, or postal addresses.
- Experiment analytics: anonymous visitor and conversion metrics tied to A/B test variants (for example visitors, page views, add-to-carts, orders, and profit estimates).
- Merchant staff session data: information required for Shopify authentication (for example staff user ID and email provided by Shopify during app install).
- Technical logs: timestamps, request metadata, and error diagnostics needed to operate and secure the App.
2. How we use information
We use the information above to:
- Provide and maintain App features requested by the merchant
- Attribute test results and show performance dashboards
- Secure the App, prevent abuse, and troubleshoot issues
- Comply with legal obligations and Shopify platform requirements
We do not sell personal data or use store customer data for advertising.
3. Sharing and subprocessors
We use infrastructure providers to host the App (for example Vercel for application hosting and Neon for database storage). These providers process data only to deliver the service under appropriate agreements. We do not share data with third parties except as required to operate the App or as instructed by the merchant.
4. Retention
We retain data only as long as needed to provide the App. Shop session data is removed when the App is uninstalled. Aggregated experiment metrics may remain until deleted by the merchant or removed during uninstall cleanup.
5. Security
Data in transit is encrypted using HTTPS/TLS. Data at rest is stored on encrypted infrastructure operated by our hosting and database providers. Access is limited to systems required to operate the App.
6. Merchant and customer rights
Merchants can uninstall the App at any time from their Shopify admin. Shopify mandatory compliance webhooks are supported for data subject requests related to customer data processed by the App. Merchants may contact us for privacy questions or data requests related to our processing.
